Why does everything taste & smell like off vinegar?!
Question: I have a really bad cold and cough and when I'm trying to smell or eat anything, it smells and tastes like off vinegar. Very bitter and it's disgusting. What could be causing this? I've never had a cold like it before.....

Your sinus' are blockes with mucus and this stops you from tasting properly. Put some boiling water into a bowl with some menthol ( vick, oilatum, olbas oil) and inhale the steam. If you make a 'tent' with a towel and put your head under the towel this will concentrate the effect. It's not comfy but is the best thing I know for unblocking nose.
this is because you have a sinus infection it will soon go when your cold goes,i have had this happen many times
This cold seems to have been going the rounds since Xmas, just getting over it myself after 3 weeks, first one I have had for 2 years, all friends and family have had it.
I find aspirin and covonia works for me, plus a stiff whisky at bedtime, (or any time )
As for vinegar taste, you,r lucky you can taste anything, try gargling with Listerine or similar.
