If one stops working, the other one can handle 100% of the job as long as it's a healthy kidney. Some people are born with one kidney and don't even know if until they have an MRI for some other reason and they happen to pick it up.

But if someone has "kidney failure" both kidneys tend to fail at the same time.

People who have a kidney transplant have no functioning kidney, receive one good one and do well.

u shouldnt die coz ppl can hav a kidney removed and they can donate it to someone else. i guess u only need 1 but 2 is always better than 1!!

if one of ur kidneys stop working they both will stop then u have to have atransplant or go on dialysis
