Am I having a panic attack?!

Question: I feel short of breath, with some mild chest pain. I feel anxious, irritated, desperate, and I am releasing a lot of gas and burping. My heart beat is 60 per minute.

What do I do to stop this right now?
All these negative thoughts just hit me.

It looks like you are having anxiety or panic attack. From my personal experience I can advise you to do this steps and I will guarantee you want have another panic attack .. ever.

1. You > HAVE TO < find a way of controlling your thoughts. very important. Think positively. try to avoid any negative or depressing thoughts. Tell yourself that you are strong and will fight this.. over and over until you say it, mean it, and believe in it...

2. Warm bath (or at least put your legs in to warm water) this will control your blood circulation, and will help your symptoms to disappear..

3. Breath deeply and very slowly.. Controlled Oxygen flow to your brain will stabilize your physical imbalance.

4. Try to talk with some one. Very good idea to communicate in person, over the phone, or by e-mail with some one to take away the negative feelings and thoughts away...

5. Rest. try to sleep. with positive and happy thoughts in your mind...
Those panic attacks are just play games on your mind... There is nothing absolutely nothing wrong with you physically. Every thing is in your head and if you find a way controlling yourself you will see that you never will have another attack.

And please, try to not get help by taking medication... All those anxiety meds are addictive... Believe me YOU DO NOT need meds to control depression or any type of attacks...

Best Ways are... Exercise. eat healthy, and yes very important. Take VITAMIN * COMPLEX for at least 2 months.
Believe me IT will help...

I am talking from personal experience..

It wouldn't hurt to go to the Emergency Room. Sounds like something is wrong. If not - take a warm bath and lay down in bed.. just relax.

Hope I helped.

Since you aren't taking medicine try this...it's what I use to do....sit down and bring your knees up to your chest and wrap your arms around your shins and squeeze, squeeze and release and repeat. This does something to your circulation and after several minutes the panic feeling will go away.
You need to see a doctor so he can prescribe something for you since panic attacks come on with no warning.
I took paxil CR for 3 years and have been off of them for 2 years and feel wonderful. And I also had to rid myself of stressful situations.

I'm not an expert but it sounds as if you are. When I got my first one, i didn't even think it was a panic attack. I thought it was a heart attack. i had chest pains, felt like i wasn't breathing enough air. I felt as if i was going to die, but i'm only 32. Your body actually feels uncomfortable as if it doesn't fit (sound kind of weird).Mine went on for a week until i went to the dr. They gave me pills. for the pain and for the anxiety. The anxiety pills just make me really drowsy so i don't take those, but the other ones i use when i feel one coming on
This link sort of tells you what to do and what not to do........

Do you have a gastric problem. Some times cause of gas you can feel restlessness and even chest pain. You need to cool down drink some water and lie down for a while. If you rest you'll feel much better.
