How do u break ur self from chewing on ur tongue?!


Question: Best I can say is Dicipline...when you catch yourself doing it start doing something else that won't draw attention to you. Try keeping something in your pocket you can mess with, squeeze, or whatever...or maybe chew gum or something else. If you want a cool habbit, practice spinning a pen/pencil around your fingers...if that becomes your habbit people will think you have wicked skills. :P

Apparently chewing your tounge has become a habbit. I have met many women who do one thing or another: like chew their upper lip, bite nails, bit cuticles, etc.. Most likely reason I can think of that you chew your tounge is being nervous, bored or you have tourettes. The above could help all 3, but if you have tourettes or something else message me and I can give you advice on that.

I am sure you can break any habbit. It takes time and persitance though. Make youself aware of when you are doing it. Find something else to distract yourself from. I would suggest chewing gum or mints in the time being. Good luck. thats a tricky habbit because it's always in your mouth! YOU CAN DO IT!

Are you sure you're chewing your tongue or maybe you're just grinding your teeth? If you have teeth marks at the edge of your tongue, you're probably grinding teeth.

It is a habit you developed to prevent boredom. Chew gum, drink water, twirl your hair, think of a song. This should help keep your mind busy.
