Help... I will get a suppository in hospital soon, I'm really scared!?!

Question: will it hurt?
how do they put it in? (how much will they undress me, lay me down, etc.)

usually it shouldn't hurt, but you musn't tense up. Probably they will pull your trousers and your pants down and they will lay you on a bed. I suppose they will put you on your side and pull your knees to your chest. As this exposes the anal area, it is hard to tense up and it shouldn't hurt. Then they will take the suppository and simply insert it into your back passage. It will be over in a moment. You will feel it for an instant as it slips in deeper and deeper but when it is far enough in, you won't feel it anymore!

Uh it depends on where it's going... there are both anal and vaginal.. but neither of them hurt.

you should be in a hospital gown... it will be like having a pap... well the way you lay...

usually just undressed from the waist down..and a gown to cover you. It shouldnt be bad ..unless your severly impacted

My son used to get them on a regular basis when he was a baby till he was about 3 and he never used to cry. I have never had one myself but I would say if they dont hurt a baby you should be fine

You will be asked to lie on your left side. If you're an inpatient;; then most likely, you'll be dressed in a hospital gown. However, if you just came in in street clothes. You will be asked to remove your pants and underwear. Don't worry, thy usually cover you with a warm sheet. And if not, you should ask.

The nurse might use some lubricant if you ask her too. Then, she will ask you to relax so she'll be able to insert it. You can relax and ease the discomfort by keeping your mouth open.

just relax your sphincter and it wont hurt you may even discover that you enjoy the sensation and wish it would never end.

Why are you having to go to a hospital to get a suppository. Usually you just a big nothing much that you can do at home. Well, anyway, hope everything goes well for you.
