Intact hymen?!
Question: I am 17 years old and I have constantly been trying tampons every period for the past 2 years. Only the smallest kind fits and it hurts when i walk around. I went to the obgyn about 7 months ago because of it and she inserted one for me because she thought was doing it wrong but i wasnt it still hurts. now i am thinking about a hymenectomy or hymenoptomy. would someone share their expeirences with either one of those procedures as in the basics. also, when they do the surgery can they make your hole bigger? i know that sounds gross but i think thats part of my problem, i am a virgin. please dont tell me to keep trying tampons, because i have been long enough and i am tired of riding the cotton pony i need this problem fixed.
thank you
and please dont tell me to deal with a pad or masturbate because i am not willing to do that

I had that problem, I tried and tried, and when I got married it took weeks before I could have intercourse, and I bled the first time but around 6 months after wards I was able to wear tampons. God bless
had to jump in after reading....your still a virgin at 17 ? wow that amazing. congratulations hope you stay that way for a while
Tampons could cause Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) , a rare but potentially fatal disease. I don't understand why women use it.
I "dealt" with the pad for a decade now, most women do and so can you.
I was exactly the same! Im 20 now and am fine with tampons but at 17 I was really just too 'tight'. And I still haven't had sex. You could go on the pill to control your periods or maybe get an implant? I went with one of the options you're not willing to take and its not the pad one...
