This sounds exactly like a mild flareup of diverticulitis. This problem is increasing in today's young persons because of our Western lifestyles and also there is so much psychological stress on your age group. You should mention this to your doctor and see if this is the cause. I developed diverticulosis when I was in high school, and at that time the doctors told me it is rare in young persons. By the time I got to college, I discovered that about 5 percent of my friends also had this condition.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea. Maybe you can make it onto Mystery Diagnosis, a show where they show stories of people who had dieseses and they didn't know what it was.

I wish you luck. Maybe you can go to more doctors? Some doctors are smarter than others and have more experience.

Hello

I think you should check with
another doctor first. If your still in pain
there has to be something wrong, your
not making it up. What does your mother
think? I am just wondering, I had this
happen to me twice, I had a pain that I
had never had before also. I was driving
to work one day, I just didn't feel right. I
was having pain in my stomach at first
then it went to my back on the left side.
I drove myself to the E.R. they did a
cat. scan. found that I had kidney stones.
All you can do is pass them, which I did
the next day, they gave me pain medicine
until then. Or they would have to dissolve
them for you. I would suggest checking
with another doctor, if your in pain there
is something wrong, could it be a kidney
stone? I don't know.
