How do i get rid of a itchy/scratchy throat fast??!

Question: My throat feels really itchy and scratchy when I swallow. And I kind of have a runny nose. How do I get rid of it fast? Like in 2 days. I've been taking tynelol (sp?) gelcaps. Will that help? And if you say honey or something, how does it help?

Gargle with warm salty water every hour. The salt will help your throat to heal.

I swear by theraflu. Apple cin. is my fav. it works on sore throats usually in a day or two.

Gargle with peroxide. It taste nasty, but does the trick.

thera flu should do the trick. It helps me when i am in this situation

get an herbal tea called Throat Coat.... it is amazing... i can't remember the brand and don't have any on hand. It is absolutely amazing... your throat will feel beautiful halfway through the cup.

In my local Fred Meyer (grocery store) it is in the health food section instead of with the normal teas....

Throat Coat will fix you

butter

Drink hot/warm honey water with a squeeze of lemon. Honey is antimicrobal and lemon will sooth the scratchy feeling.

No, tylenol will just numb the pain. To get rid of it gargel salt water ---warm ---- every hour. IT WORKS!

You can drink alot of diet coke. This helps becase of all the fizz and carbonate in it.

well.................. i duno how................ but scientists say dat honey is good 4 de throat w/ pepper on it. um............. ask ur doctor wat oder medicine is good.

warm tea with lemon and honey. don't drink anything hot, that will make it worse. sounds like you are coming down with a cold. oranges, lemons, honey, garlic and onions all are great immune system boosters and helps get over your cold quick.

hot tea wit honey n lemon ... i dont how it helps its jus that it helped me when i was sick

hope u feel better

Honey helps by coating your throat so it doesn't hurt. When I was sick I ate apples (Red Delicious) everyday and it went away quickly.

For fast relief, try some cloroseptic. It's fast throat relief that really helps. It works in a matter of seconds.Chloraseptic is an American brand of oral analgesic produced by Prestige Brands Inc, used for the relief of minor sore throat and mouth pain. Its active ingredient is phenol,

try cooking up some tomato soup with chopped up garlic in it (larger chunks). This is what always helps me, and if that doesn't do it? Then just keep up with the Tylenol, more preferably Bayer's Tylenol though. Also, take some Halls Vitamin C Immunity drops, they're a real help! Other than that? Sleep and a healthier diet and exercise until the symptoms improve. Just sounds like the common cold =]

depends on what's causing it, but tylenol won't help reduce tissue inflammation/irritation like ibuprofen/advil does----i have had some succes by gargling with apple cider vinegar or salt water, and/or by taking advil cold/allergy tabs with plenty of fluid & rest...so i'd take a couple advil, gargle with whatever u have on hand and REST.......please let us know how it turns out-hopefully it's just a simple cold!

gargle with listerine and take Zicam

gargling with warm salt water.. gives temporary relief...
Vic vapoury, NyQuil or DayQuil... u need to take NyQuil before sleeping this ll reduce the injury to the throat lining and also give it time to heal... if the symptoms persist or worsen please contact your physician...
ps chickensoup works for me...
