Do I have the stomach flu?!
Question: Early this morning, I woke up and felt very sick. I threw up about 4 times and had diarrhea, but i waved it off as my acid reflux. Thirty minutes after getting to school, I got in my car and went home because I had a feeling that it wasn't going to get better like it usually does. I didn't throw up again until about 12 after some vitamin water. I tried ginger ale at 1, and threw it up, and about three times after that. Do you think I have the stomach flu? Also, I would really appreciate some suggestions on what to do. My mom is out of town, and my dad works a lot, so I am laying here feeling miserable and don't know what to do.

sounds like it. be careful, i ended up in the hospital twice b/c of the stomach flu.
after you throw up don't eat or drink anything for a few hours.....you need to let your stomach settle from all the throwing up. after you wait a while try drinking gatorade...the electrolytes are good for you. if you don't feel better by tomorrow i'd go to the doctor, b/c you don't wanna end up dehydrated
also, what helped me the most was a HOT bubble bath. i stayed in the bathtub for like....6 hours a day....i promise it'll help take some of the nausea away.
i hope you feel better!!
Sounds like the flu, especially if there is a fever. It's not food poisoning. Diarrhea rules out the acid reflux. Try 7-up if ginger ale is too much. Also drink 1-2 spoon fulls every 5-10 minutes. If you keep vomiting make sure you see a doctor or go to the ER. Getting the IV is easy and you'll feel better within minutes.
