Rehab (for the famous); a genuine chance to change ways, or just a slick PR move!

Question: ...The AA, and other organisations - it may rehabilitate some (the unknown and less egotistical), but is it not like jail; making some just learn to be smarter cons...but not for long?
Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan just two names in a pot of many

Since they are in & out of Rehab/jail/hospitals so much, it doesn't appear to be helping them. They may want the help, but often times...drug addiction is stronger than their will to live. They were brought up as entertainment icons, this is all they know. I often wonder if they were placed in a cabin for a few weeks, to relax...would they know how to enjoy the simple things in life, and enjoy their families ONLY. Why do they hang around where there is trouble, camera men everywhere? They thrive on it, as they do drugs. i hope they find help or see how precious life is, and they have to make that choice themselves. It's their PROBLEM...they have to face it. I know people are trying to help them...Some people will seek Negative Attention vs rejection in life, especially if they are seeking love and attention. They seem to be weak and lost at times. It's really very scary to see them play Russian Roulette with their lives. I wish them the best and hope it's not too late for them to save themselves and not cause grief to their families and children.

PR for sure....they don't give a crap...

PR move, have any of them changed their ways, I think not. Several other Hollywood stars have shown America that it is possible to live in Hollywood sober and still be someone, but the Britney's and the Lindsay's of today, give Americans that sense of irresponsibility that we choose not to take ourselves. What would we do with their lives to dwell over?

Just another shameless way to exploit people's pain and or physical/mental conditions in my opinion.

ie..TV series: "Brookhaven Obesity Clinic", "Little People, Big World." We still have "Freak Shows" just like they did in the circus only now it's on TV.

slick PR move. A lot of money is being made by some of these Rehab centres.
Amazes me how quickly these "stars" get into one, whereas ordinary mortals have to queue!

I think it's the fashion these days. You are not a true celebrity if you haven't done your time in rehab! It's the new sex-n-drugs-n-rock'n'roll!

and how many times has pete docherty been there?
