Subtle bully?!

Question: my best friend often makes horrible remarks to me that are so subtle that i dont know wether she meant them to be so mean. She is quite patronising with me and as an example of what she said to me today when my phone went off ... " is that your phone? - it never goes off" shes said that infront of other people and they laughed.
Is that subtle bullying?
any advice?
thanks!

She is being passive aggressive:

I would tell her that you know what she is doing, and you don't like it. And when she plays "dumb," bring up one example and then tell her to knock it off, and then change the subject. Do not allow any more talk of the subject, cause it will just lead into her defending herself, and she has NO right to do that. She shouldn't be allowed to rationalize what she says, and possibly chalk it up to you being a baby about things.

In the meantime, start expanding your circle of friends by joining new activities, clubs, etc. You might find this is needed in case you need to drop her.

This is supposed to be your best friend? A best friend wouldn't do things like that. She is the kind of person who puts other people down to make herself feel better. Get rid of her!! Been there done that.

I must admit it does sound a bit strange, the thing is i dont know enough, Is this person cocky? so on..
I can understand where you are coming from, i used to have freinds like that and it can get on your nerves. I dont think your to sensitive, i think your very clever to notice things like this, i wouldnt say that its subtle bullying, although i dont know what other things she has said, could you give more examples?
