only the arrogantly stupid would alter their dosages without the training to know how to do so.
Stupidity and/or arrogance.
I work in a jail facility. Many inmates come in with odd assortments of pills in the pockets not to mention elsewhere. Obviously they are not following doctors orders and the orders are likely to be for someone else. We are very careful passing medications but something inmates will hide them under tongues, in decayed teeth etc. These are then used to trade with other inmates for commissary or contraband. Many of these folks are drug addicts so they really don't care about dosages, orders etc. You need to get a closer, clearer look at the real world I think.

Usually it's recommended to consult a doctor before buying any medicine, however not always is necessary when you already have knowledge about the medicine or when it comes to home drugs treatment.
