Easing my thoughts about hunting?!

Question: Recently I have make a rather big decision that has two different sides to it that are haunting me.

To start from the beginning, I once had cancer and it devistated my body at age 15. Today, at age 17, I am cured and happy, but I am still having to watch how I eat (no sugar, sodas etc). This also means that I have to keep a balanced diet of meat, but WITHOUT hormones or processing. Pretty much the only way to get around this is to get my own meat through hunting.

One part of me knows what I need to do to survive, but my conscious tells me I wouldn't have the gull to kill a living creature, even though (Christian here) the Bible states that meat can be taken and eaten.

What I am looking for here, in your answers, is some guidance and ease of mind that would allow me to get past, one way or the other. Thanks in advance ;)

you should swallow your pride, get a group of hunting friends together (use hunters safety of coarse) have fun think of your health. To me it sounds to me deep in your self conscience you really want to over come this and hunt.

Most supermarkets carry organic meats and dairy, which don't contain the hormones/steroids and antibiotics. If your supermarket doesn't carry it, then health food stores or Trader Joe's does. It costs a little more, but you won't have to hunt.

hunting just to prove you're superior to animals sucks, but hunting (and fishing) are OK if you're using the meat for a good purpose. the only thing I'd be concerned about hunting is to be good enough with your gun/bow that you don't just injure the animal and leave it suffering and running around wounded and bleeding for hours/days. if you still have a problem with it, find a farmer that raises animals without hormones and buy direct.

People who hunt might be taking the lives of animals but they are saving the lives of humans and other animals as well.

If people didn't hunt, the deer population would be overflowing. That means other deer would starve and there would be tons of deer running everywhere and causing problems like car wrecks on the highway.

As a Christian (I am too) you should know that animals don't have souls. A cow doesn't know any better if you are killing it and neither does a chicken or any other animal.

You can find meat these days that is antibiotic and hormone free. You just have to look harder, but it's out there.
