Why do hangovers take so long to go away?!

Question: Not having a drink in the first place wouldn't put me in this shape I know, but is it the dehydration or age or what?

Answers: Not having a drink in the first place wouldn't put me in this shape I know, but is it the dehydration or age or what?

it's usually a combination of factors.
the most common symptoms of a hangover are brought on by dehydration, plain and simple. other factors include what /how much you drank, how much you ate that day, your age and metabolism, how much sleep you managed to get.
i tend to treat a hangover like a cold: lots of liquids, some aspirin for the headache, and soup if i can keep any down.

so u feeel real awful so u dont ever drink again uyour body has no need for alcohol.

yea dehydration, but it depends on the person i think, its only a day for me if i get one

because when you drink your body dehydrates, which causes a severe headache. Once you rehydrate yourself you should feel somewhat normal again.

cause when you tell them to go away there so drunk that your words take forever to get to there brain

It depends how drunk you were if you where so drunk you could have got arrested for DUI it would take a long time but if it was just you where llike at the stage of you just got drunk then it would take a short time I just suggest you drunk less

Alcohol thins the blood. As the blood thins the blood vessels and veins constrict. Alcohol is processed out of the blood and the blood thickens back up. As it goes to move back through the constricted veins....it freaking hurts. As alcohol thins the blood so does aspirin, hence the recuperating powers of aspirin for a hangover. Dehydration is a component but blood thinning is the mastermind on this inside job.
