How come I can't raise one of my eyebrows?!

Question: I can raise my left eyebrow.

I can raise both at the same time.

I can't raise my right eyebrow by itself...why?

I've think it's genetic, like being able to wiggle your ears. Those ear muscles are the same muscles that a dog uses to perk its ears up, but since people evolved to depend more on sight than hearing, that trait was not necessary and so not always passed on. About 1 in 5 people lack the muscle that wiggles the ear.

I think it is the same thing with eyebrows, people just vary genetically and not everyone has that muscular ability. This is just my guess though.

It's just a weird thing your muscles do, but it doesn't indicate any problems. Actually, most people can only raise both at the same time- it's pretty interesting than you even can raise just your left. Unless you used to be able to raise your right and now you can't due to an injury or something, I wouldn't worry about it.

When i was a little girl I was running everywhere such as a crazy, suddenly, I crash with my forehead with another girl. The next day (not jokes, I swear), right in the morning, I realize my right eyebrow didnt move at all. The funny thing is that very afternoon I crash again, on the other side. So i couldnt move neither of them for a whole week. Then, when the time past out, I could. What I can say about this, is probably that maybe you could had a crash hahaha or something like it, so you cant move it...Just what happen to me!!! Good Luck!!! XOXO
