In the future will we be able to grow new teeth instead of replacing them with f!
Question: In the future will we be able to grow new teeth instead of replacing them with fake ones?
So with a little help from science is it plausible to grow yourself some new teeth in the future? Like if your old, or had your teeth bashed out, or just horribly decayed you'd want some new ones.
For example by genetic engineering? or by dental surgery?
Answers:
uh... no. im a dental assistant and the only ways to replace teeth is with dental surgery such as implants and veneers, post and crowns, etc. humans only get two set of teeth in their life time unlike sharks whose teeth are constantly being replaced throughout their life time.
If it's dental surgery, then you aren't "growing new teeth" are you?
No, just like humans don't grow new arms like a starfish, chances are evolution will not include us regenerating our parts.
Maybe, it seems like a plausible idea but we never know what the future will hold until it gets here.
