severe pain after wisdom tooth extraction.?!
Question: Severe pain after wisdom tooth extraction.?
The likely thing is dry socket, however I see nothing wrong, and I do not taste/smell a foul odor. I dont feel severe pain right at the extraction site, but more where my jawbone joins together. I can open my mouth more and more everyday, just not fully yet.
2 days after extraction I was peeing brown, and doc had to put me on different meds. I guess my body/kidney coulnt handle the trauma. That seems ok now.
Anyways if you have any idea, please let me know. I will select the best answer after I come back from the dentist today. I think I have provided enough detail. Thank you for looking.

If it doesn't improve, and your dentist seems to be clueless, you might want to go to another dentist and get a second opinion.
Some dentists are considerably better than others.
Either way - you've had serious trauma to your face when you had all 4 pulled at the same time, and I'd say it's to be expected to have some mind-numbing pain and swelling throughout your jaw. I don't know if he showed you what they look like, but they go a LONG ways into your jaw.
Congrats for having done it though - wisdom teeth can be dangerous (and even more painful than what you are currently going through) down the road if they get infected.
Keep getting it checked out, and make sure they aren't being stingy with the pain meds, especially considering it's in your face.
Good Luck!
