I really REALLY need help with this dental question?!
Question: I really REALLY need help with this dental question?
BUT WAIT ITS NOT OVER , THIS PART MADE ME ANGRY
" I think its a better idea if we wait to do the 2 fillings until after the teeth are extracted " ... MY TEETH WITH THE CAVITIES ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY MOUTH. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! What in the WORLD does me having teeth needing to come out have to do with me getting my fillings TO STOP THOSE TEETH FROM GETTING BAD AND NEEDING ROOT CANALS. Im shocked that i wasted my time waiting for this filling appointment just for them to say " wait till the extractions are done ". WELL THEN WHY DID U MAKE ME COME ANYWAY WHEN U KNEW I NEEDED EXTRACTIONS. I truly believe that he was overbooked , considering i waited 45 mins to even see him cuz he was doing another persons teeth at the time. I was in shock and legit mad even more because i took Xanax to calm me down before i went, which is now a waste , and i took 1mg , more then last time cuz he mentioned pulling my teeth. IM SO FED UP
IM SO MAD. This whole thing sounds completely wrong.

be glad our health system isn't "free" if it ever becomes like that it will be worse then what you just experienced!!!
The reason a lot of public or NHS dentists in England anyway choose to pull teeth instead of root canal treat them is because you will just pay a flat fee, the nhs then gives the dentist extra money from the health service pot. For an extraction (pulling out) its about £15 and takes maybe 5 minutes, on the root canal they get £30-£60 and it takes maybe 2-3 sessions and to do a good root canal a few hours....so no brainer why waste time filling and drilling when you can pull it out.
I have no idea why the private guy wants you to pay to have your teeth filled until they get pulled..... sounds like he is trying to make some extra cash. What he should do is place a temporary filling which is very inexpensive and in some cases free of charge.
If I were you I would consult another dentist or a root canal specialist, admitidly specialists arent cheap but at 25 you dont want to be loosing that many teeth. You will need your teeth for a while yet and especially loosing molars will distrupt your eating and ruin your standard of life.
Sorry to hear about your dental experience : (
