If you are correcdting an overbite, then you will also change how your upper and lower jaw allign, which, of course, changes your appearance.
I had a SARPE in 2007 and then braces to correct my class 3 (under-bite.)
Everyone said that my face changed, and I got more handsome.
I was 32 at the time. The biggest question is "how old are you?"
If you're still maturing, then your face is going to change anyways.
If you're done growing, I'm sure you will like then changes. Orthodontists make changes that make you look better, not worse.
I'm guessing that the 6 teeth your orthodontist wants to extract would be your wisdom teeth and 2 of your premolars. Premolars are most commonly extracted for orthodontic reasons. Depending on the seriousness of you case will depend how much your face will change. When you are correcting have an overbite (Class II malocclusion), your mandible (lower jaw) through braces and perhaps other treatment measures will be brought forward into the correct class I occlusion. Thus your profile will change.

The orthodontist knows what he/she is doing and would not leave you with gaps between your teeth. If the structure does change, it will change for the better as most likely the Dr. will align your teeth into a more common and appealing class I occlusion.
