Yes it is! If it's in the early stage you can obtain a cleaning under the gum!. The goal is to shrink the gum to reattach to the tooth to eliminate the pocket!. If it is in an advanced stage the treatment becomes more complex!. They will do a cleaning and if there are still deep pockets they will have to do a minor surgical procedure called gingivectomy!.
