Question: HELP!! My daughter just got braces and she's getting cuts all over the inside of her mouth !?
She has top and bottom, and uses wax, the cuts are starting to swell up! Does anyone know how to fix this!?!?!? Please help!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The wire may have gotten too long!. As her teeth move the wire will get longer and start sticking out and poke her mouth!. If this is the problem you call call the orthodontist and tell them the wire has gotten to long and they can cut if for you or you could try cutting it yourself with nail clippers!. But if thats not the problem just go to the orthodonist so they can see if there are any problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Initially cuts are normal with the braces!. But if they have started to swell up then you should visit your orthodontist!. May be some wire or bracket is not put properly, which he will adjust and tell you some remedy!. For more information you can visit the following very informative website

go to the ortho to make sure it not something wrong, but when i got braces i got sores on my inner lips!. the orthodontist should give you dental wax to prevent it but the inside of the lips really just ends up getting a sort of callous!. sigh pain is beautyWww@Answer-Health@Com
Call the ortho and tell them what's going on, they will likely be able to adjust the wires so they don't poke out and cut the lips/cheeks!. For now all you can really do is pile on the wax and use some soothing gel for the cuts!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
wen i first got braces that happened to me!. i always broke my braces and i didn't really didn't eat anything i wasnt suppose to!. i would call the ortho and make her an appointment asap because it shouldn't be like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
