i have braces and its not that bad when putting it on it takes about an hour =P your orthadontist will explain to you everything he is going to do 1st he has to put these metal parts on two of your back bottom teeth it hurts a little but after that the worst part is over!.!.!. then he/she begins to open your mouth they have to keep it really open so they will put this soft thing that opens your mouth really wide it is uncomfortable but it doesnt hurt (just stay calm and try to think about a happy place or your favorite food or favorite things ect!.) then he/she will put glue on your teeth to make the bracket stick to your teeth after that he/she will put a wire on then he/she will put rubber bands on usually the 1st time you have braces they wont let you choose a color it will be gray but if they do try to pick a color that wont make you mouth look crowded!.!.!. after the putting on of braces your mouth will feel heavy! and it might hurt i used advil but u can use w!.e and yeah food will get stuck in them but you just have to clean it out w your tounge or somethingg also ur orthadontist will give you wax this is to be used only if you have a ''poking wire''(if the wire is poking you from the back) also if they say not to chew gum u can=]] haha i always do but it has to be sugar less haha hope i helped and dont worry youll be ok=]]Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think have a bunch of yummy hard to chew foods because you won't be able to chew much at first!. Also maybe go and have some of your favourite hard lollies or coke because you're not supposed to have that during either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when u get ur braces on u wont feel the pain but the pain will kick in later and it will be painful to eat!. And as for color, get a color that will match everything you wear!.

Wateva color u will wear tha most of!. And tha biggest tip i can reccomend is 2 eat be4 u go so u wont b hungry lol!. And yea make sure u take tha tylenol!. Its not really all that bad thoWww@Answer-Health@Com
