I have a braces problem?!
Question: I have a braces problem!?
the wire on my braces has shifted, and now on one side, its almost puncturing my gums, and on the other side, the wires not even in one of the brackets!. how can i fix this!? should i go to the orthodontist, or can i fix it myself!. ive tried pulling and pushing the wire with my fingers, but it wont budge!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well some orthodontists offer you wax that you mold into the shape of a ball and you put it on the poking wire!. That stops the pain until you schedual an appointment or the pain naturally goes away!. Don't try to fix it becuase that can move your other brackets causing your teeth to move causing you even more pain!.!.!. not to mention the orthodontist will be mad at you for moving it!. Trust me I've had braces for 3 years!. I've been though most of the stuff they give you and it hurts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
hey i have had that problem a couple of weeks ago ! Well my dentist told me everytime that happens i have to contact him asap, so he can fix it!. The problem is with your chewing habit !. My dentist said that when mine shifted slightly !. And when you get it fixed from your dentist , ask him for dental wax !. Its like a wax you pull a little bit off to put at the tip of your wire to stop it poking , if it happens again !.

How far away is your next check-up!? Can you put wax on the end thats poking you until then!? That happened to me once before but I think my appt was in the next week or so, so I just toughed it out with extra wax!. If your appt isnt near, call your orthos office, maybe they can sqeeze you in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had the same problem last month!. don't try to fix it your self it only made it worse for me!. just bare with it for a day and phone your orthodontist and ask if you can come in there and get it adjusted, it only takes like 4 min!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This happened to me several times!. The wire connecting my two back molars came loose!. Go to the orthodontist and they can open up the bracket and put it make in!. It may need a new wire!. Should only take a few minutes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you have to go to the ortho!. it will only take them like 2 min!. to fix it but you can't do by yourself
