Answers:
I don't know what NICO stands for!.!.!. is it like osteonecrosis!? This can happen in the jaw bone, especially if the patient is on bisphosphonates (osteoporosis prevention drug) and suffers some trauma, like a tooth extraction!. It's not very common, but it causes the bone of the jaw to die off and melt away - it can be shocking to see and I don't think there is any effective treatment!. It can be prevented by screening patients at risk, avoiding tooth extractions in patients on the medication, or doing the extraction before the patient starts the medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
