Could my sons earache be caused by the growing of his six year old molar?!
Question: Could my sons earache be caused by the growing of his six year old molar!?
My son is 7 years old and is just now cutting his first six year old molar!. The left top molar has broke the gum!. He does not complain of pain to the tooth or gums, but he is having a earache on that side, going on 4 days now!. There is no infection and no fever!. I thought maybe it was swimmers ear but i gave him the ear drops for that and he has no relief!. The earache doesn't keep him from playing around and it doesn't bring him to tears, just an ache!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Yes, your son's earache could be caused by his cutting a new molar in that area!. You may also see other symptoms like when he was teething as a baby - drooling (extra saliva), or enlarged lymph nodes on that side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You still have to check this twice to make sure because your son could have the mumps usually brought about by the broken gum!. Mumps are viral and they have the tendency to be transferred from one child to the other!. Lucky theres no fever, you can temporarily give him pain relievers to subside the aches felt at the ears!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
