Question: I have a terrible tooth ache and the dentist gave me anti biotics before he can extract the tooth!?
but I feel sick whilst taking them

is it normal to feel sick or is it normal to have antibiotics before extraction|!? answer is some people feel sick on antibiotics, try taking with food or at least something in yr stomach even if its just milk that may help!. if it s a real prob tell dentist they can give u a different one!. with regard to giving antibiotics yes thats normal they cannot extract an infected tooth, my son had to have a tooth taken out and they tried but cos it was infected the local anaesthetic wouldnt work and it wouldnt go numb despite half a dozen injections!. he was givne antibiotics then went back next week and all was well!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell your dentist the med!. makes you sick and he can give you a different one!. There are many antibiotics you can use to treat the infection in your tooth!. You can also check with your pharmacist and see if he has any ideas to lessen the side effect, like take with food or full glass of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is one of the reasons they give you antibiotics before dental work!.

Might be!. Antibiotics will also kill the helpful bacteria in the digestive system!.

Check with your doctor, he might recommend you eat some yogurt with live culture, to replace what the drugs are killing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know of a few side effects from antibiotics including stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea, et al because I've experienced them personally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
