i have a really bad toothache ;/
my whole right side of my mouth is like numb and swollen
i did make an appointment to see my dentist but it will be in about 2 weeks( on July 1st)
i talked with the dentist but she told me to rinse my mouth with a warm salty water and take motrin/ibuprofen
i did that but it didnt help
i can drink hot drinks ( like coffee or tea) but nothign cold or it will be excruciating pain ;/;/
i wonder if orajel will help ive seen lots of commercial and they say it helps but im not sure if thats true or notWww@Answer-Health@Com

Orajel can Temporarily numb the area and relieve some pain!. You can chew Clove and leave it in your mouth!. Clove oils will also numb the area and give you some temporary relieve!. Beside that, your dentist is right, you can take ibuprofen 600 mg (3 over the counter tablets which 200mg each) every 6 to 8 hours as needed!. The prescription strength of ibuprofen is 800 mg (4 over the counter 200mg tablets), so yeah its safe to take that until you see your doctor!. Dont take ibuprofen is you have any gastrointestinal problems!. It can be hard on GI track!. Your gums are swollen and numb, that means you are have a bad infection!. Even when you go after 2 weeks!. you doctor will put you on antibiotics until the infection is gone!. The best thing would be to tell you doctor to prescribe you antibiotics to get rid of the infection!. (it will also relief your pain)!. Either go to his office first thing in the morning, or tell him to call in the prescription at your nearby Pharmacy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
