I'm worried that my braces will stain my teeth!?!

Question: I'm worried that my braces will stain my teeth!!?
Do any of you know if braces stain your teeth!? If so, how can I prevent this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have braces and I will be getting them off soon!. I already know I am going to have to get them whitened!.

Well the stains left from your braces are because you don't brush your teeth good!. So take care to brushing and once you get em off just go to the dentist to give em a polish!.
I know it is difficult to brush em real good night and day as food is easily trapped but what ya gonna do, too late for me lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Unless you have invisalign, the braces will stain your teeth!. There is nothing you can do about it at this point in time, although you can do a few things to help keep it a bit under control - which would basically be general good dental hygiene (brushing, flossing & mouth wash everyday)!. When the braces are removed, you will go to the dentist & they will clean (or even possibly bleach) your teeth!. At that time the staining will go away & you will be able to start over with a beautiful, straight and WHITE pearly set of teeth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had them from 4th - 8th grade and they do not stain your teeth!. Brush a lot though to keep your teeth clean and from staining from poor care!. When you get them off you can have your teeth whitened to even out the tone!.

However, when removed if the dentist does not remove all the glue from them you will have what looks like a stain!.

I am now 28 and have braces again (WEAR YOUR RETAINER!!!) and when my new dentist put these ones on he mentioned that is wasn't that my teeth were stained but that the other guy had not done a good job removing the cement that bonds the bracket to your tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you do not brush well you'll get stained white spots on your teeth!. Becasue where the braket is, when they take that off it will be pretty white under there (if your teeth were pretty clean when they put your braces on) and if you didn't brush well the area outside of white space will be brown or yellow or something!. And then you will have brown/yellow teeth except fr in that one spot where the bracket was, it'lll look very weird!!!! Just be sure to brush well, but dont worry the staining thing doesn't happen to a lot of people (prbl like 1 in 100 ppl)Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's not the braces that stain your teeth!. if anything the spots where your braces are will be whiter afer you get them taken off!. essentially, the areas on your teeth around your braces become hard to clean!. thus making those areas more prone to discoloring!. Just keep in mind your teeth are translucent - cleaning the backs is just as important as cleaning the fronts if you're worried about bad color (non-white)Www@Answer-Health@Com

No they wont if you brush them it will keep the tooth around the brace stain free obviously and if your from teh UK i dont know if they do it in her countries when they take your brtaces off the clean or bleach them or something the only thing that will happen is you will have glue on your teeth for a while no big problem though!.

I wore them for 3 years --never had that problem!. Brush well--make sure to floss still also--you can get the floss picks that you can still get thru with--also when they were changing the wires at visits--they would let me go in and do a regular floss and brushing before they put the wires back on!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Braces won't stain your teeth, as long as you brush properly!. I would highly recommend a waterpick!. It sprays water and is used in place of flossing but does the same job, just faster!. Ask your doctor about a waterpick if you don't know what that is!. It works really well!Www@Answer-Health@Com

out of the millions of people who have had braces, how many folks have you met and gone up to and commented on how stained their teeth look because of their braces!.

I think you are worrying about something that falls into that category of "please stop"Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, Braces do not stain your teeth!. At least mine didn't!. Braces are simply "glued" to your teeth so you don't have to worry about them!. If you really fear of having your teeth stained, maybe you could try whitening them after your braces are removed!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No they dont!. I had them for almost 2 years and nothing bad happened to them =D in fact they became much more shining since i feared there would be different colors on my teeth, so i kept on brushing them!. Just keep on brushing ur teeth after every meal and thats it!
p!.s DONT EVER EAT GUM lol

I had mine on for 5 years!. If they stain a little they use this tool that lightly grinds the stain away!. Just remember to keep your teeth brushed and do not eat sticky foods!. Avoid soda and juice that will only make it worse!. You will be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

i remember when i was a kid, they did stain them a little!. just make sure you brush very generously, and ALWAYS floss!. i used crest white strips awhile after i had them taken off!.!.not a big deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
