Question: EXACTLY how do these orthodontic braces work!?!?!?
I'm just wondering how they can actually align the teeth!.!. is it the positioning of the brackets!? the arch wire or what!? i just don't get it, my braces have been on for like less than a week now!.!. i'm just wondering, and i couldn't get any specific answers at all!.!. i hope someone helps!. thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The Orthodontist places the brackets on the teeth in the way that he wants the teeth to look, so if you have crooked teeth, the brackets will look crooked until you start to see results!. Then they place the wire, and the wire is in a perfect arch, and it has memory!. This means that the wire will always go back to the perfect arch it originally started as, which brings your teeth along with it!. The bands are only there to hold the wire on to the brackets!. Your teeth will feel very loose when they are moving because they are changing position!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
What happens is the wires is in the shape of the way your natural arch of the mouth should be, so they put the brackets on to the teeth and fix it to the wire, which with the wire and the brackets they work with each to help realign the teeth, the brackets are pulled tight by the wire, which allows them to move, that why the wire gets loose because there is no fight so when they tighten the wire up the fight to get in a proper position again!.
I hope i have helped you, you do know that you will have to wear a removalable retainer when you are finshed with your fixed brace, this is because the teeth can still move has the bone in the jaw bone will be still soft and the bone has to strengthen up to allow the teeth to maintain the finish alignment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The brackets remain in place (are 'cemented' onto the tooth), they are just to hold the wires that gently and slowly 'pull' the teeth into alignment!.
As time passes, the wires will be tightened, so that your teeth will gradually shift further into it's place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

kinda!.!. i have had braces for 2 years and they told me how they work!. the positioning of the brackets or held together with the wire!. the wire moves the teeth or straightens them!. but it isnt just that!. they have different functions for differnt patients!. lWww@Answer-Health@Com
