Wisdom Tooth Extraction Problem.......?!

Question: Wisdom Tooth Extraction Problem!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
So i just got my wisdom tooth removed today!. And i've been
doing some reading about it!.

I looked up the complications following wisdom tooth
extraction, and dry socket is one of them!.

I dont think I would develop dry socket after a few short
hours, im sure!. But, They gave me some gauze pads
for the bleeding and they told me to take

off the gauze after 45 minutes after the bleeding stops!.!.!.

but the bleeding hasn't stopped, am I at risk for dry socket!?!?!?

My appointment was at 11, and when I got the tooth
removed it was about 11:35 (am)

its now 4:12, does this mean my blood clot
came out and I'm at risk of dry socket since im still bleeding!?!?

or is this perfectly normal!. Im thinking maybe i haven't been
putting enough pressure on it, but I've been biting down as
hard as i can without causing myself pain!.

Whats doing on, why I am still bleeding
when they told me the bleeding would stop

after 45 minutes!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
we tell our patients to use ice on the area to keep down any swelling, and to change out the cotton every 20 to 30 minutes until the bleeding stops, could take an hour or could take several, do not bite down hard, just enough to put pressure on the area!. trust me you will know if you get a dry socket, it hurts worse than a toothache, do not do any rinses today, do not use a straw when drinking, do not spit, or smoke, those things will cause you to get a dry socket!. are you keeping up with any pain meds the dentist may have given you!? dont give up it will stop and if not call the dentist, sometimes it is not unusual for it to stop and then maybe later on that night or next day start up again, if that happens, use your cotton again and apply pressure until it stops again!. good luck

Call the dentist who extracted your tooth and ask the questions you asked here!. They expect questions when things don't go as expected!. You are worrying yourself!. It could be that the dentist will tell you not to worry, or, if it is a problem, they'll tell you to come back in so they can take some action!. Even after others post here, you still won't know what to do unless you talk to the dentist or oral surgeon who removed the tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
