Wasn't too bad!.
If they give you enough anesthesia, and if you go to a root canal professional, not a normal dentist, you should be okay!.
Actually, it didn't hurt at all!. I couldn't feel a thing, and even after the novacaine wore off, it didnt hurt!.
It took a while to get used to eating hard foods!. Like i had to eat soft foods for 3 days!.
That's about the worst thing that can happen to you after/during a root canal!

Mine were not painful, but the process is a nuisance!. Whydo you need one when you are only 15!? Do you have a dead nerve in your tooth!? Make the dentist or endodontist explain why you need it!. (Sometimes dentists want to make money, so they sell services that aren't really necessary!. Not all the time though!.) They put a rubber covering called a dam over all your mouth and teeth, which leaves only the root canal tooth exposed!. Then they take little pins and go into the roots of the tooth, it does not hurt!. With the pins they ream out the roots of the tooth, then they fill it with stuff!. It is a nuisance, but it does not hurt!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First they usually put a topical on to numb the gums before injecting you with xylocain (aka novcain, which has not been usued in over 30 yrs because of the bad reaction people got) it numbs pretty much the second they inject you!. It could take up to 1 hour, and they will perscribe you pain killers for afterwards!. You can also ask for the gas which will make you forget about everything and you wont care what they do to youWww@Answer-Health@Com
The issue of pain with root canals is really about how long the tooth has been infected before seeking treatment!.
If the symptoms of abscess (infection) are allowed to go on for a long time, the nerve in the tooth becomes "hyper sensitive", then getting it numb with novocaine is more difficult!.
Root canals can be very uneventful!. Honest!.
Get treatment sooner rather than later!.

I had one when i was 16 or so!.
The novacaine shot hurts someone!. But after that its not bad!.
I had braces before that and getting them put on, adjusted, and fixed every month for three years hurt much more each time then the root canal did!. So if youve ever had braces, this should be real easy for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went to an Endodontist (specializes in root canals) and I didn't feel any pain at all! He was so good that the three Novocaine injections in the roof of my mouth didn't hurt!.
