Stitches and gums feel uncomfortable after wisdom teeth extraction?!


Question: Stitches and gums feel uncomfortable after wisdom teeth extraction!?
it feels as though my gums has alot of stuff on it and when i try to close my mouth, my teeth press against these gums, and so i cannot bite

Yes!. Your gums are swollen!. You can take some pain medication to help with the pain and the inflammation (the swelling)!.

Yes, because they are swollen!. Take some Tylenol for the pain and swelling and if you are still swollen after a few days, let your oral surgeon know!. I had my stitches in for a week and I felt uncomfortable until they were taken out, had some more swelling for about two days, and then everything was fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is very common to have the gums swollen because of the anesthetic that was put on the gums!. After an hour or so, the effects of the anesthetic will begin to wear off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
