Some people just need something to chew on!. Sometimes it's because they're bored or other times it's because it feels good!.
My friend has turrets syndrome and she needs to chew on things!. She chews on anything in site!. Pencils are one of them!. She chews them until there is little left of the pencil!. She gets help, though, by chewing gum!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why do they chew their nails!?!? Some people are very oral and need to have things to do with their mouth all the time!. I bet if you did a culture of that pencil, fewer people would chew on them!.!.!.!.!.but then again it probably wouldn't matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
