Another tooth extraction question?!
Question: Another tooth extraction question!?
had tooth out a month ago, it was a difficult extraction due to long hooked root, it had to be cut in half to remove and then the gum stitched as gum and bone had to be cut!. I can now feel a small sharp bit poking through the gum which i assume is a fragment of tooth left behind which has worked it's way up!. My dad says if it's not causing me pain or discomfort i should leave it!. what do i doWww@Answer-Health@Com

Its probably not a piece of tooth left over!.!.!. Its more likely that a piece of bone splintered and broke off after your surgery from the work they did!. It will most-likely work its way out on its own, but its best to go back to your dentist/oral surgeon and have them take a look!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Could you ask your dad if you could go to the dentist again to see if he feels it should be removed!?
I had a tooth out almost 60 years ago when I was a youngster and a fragment stayed behind!. The dentist removed it at no additional charge!. He made a joke about it "still being under warranty!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

The same thing happened to me, and it ended up being a fragment of jaw bone (nice!)!.
Go back to the dentist, and he'll remove it for you, free of charge!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
