The biggest difference between old type brackets & damon system brackets is that damon brackets have almost a trap door type gadget that holds the wire in place, where the old type use a rubber "doughnut" to hold the wire !. In my experience as a dental hygienist the damon brackets are much easier to clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
