Question: Does it hurst to brush yout teeth after getting braces on!?
also!.!.i heard some ppl saying that the braces cut the inside of their cheeks and lips!. is that true!? ind if so, how do you stop that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i thought that btushing my teeth after getting an adjustment or getting them on felt good as it soothed my teeth a bit!. but i guess its up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may hurt a little, brushing your teeth!. My dentist gave me a soft bristle toothbrush when I got my braces on!. It just gets some getting used to!.
Some braces cut the gums and cause mouth sores but theres a jelly-like substance dentists give to coat the sharp edges of the braces so they won't scratch your gums and cause the sores!. And if you already have the sores, there's an ointment for that that effectively relieves the pain!. But you have to wait 30 minutes before eating because the food will taste bitter!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't have any bother with mines, i had the train tracks, and found them easy to cope with!. The only time it hurt was when the dentist tightended them!. So it maybe depends on the person!.
As for brushing, i didn't find it sore but ya have to take more time to make sure ya do it right!. Get into all the hard to reach bits and all that!.

yes i had braces for 2 years its not fun but yes they do irrate but nver actually cut ur gums or lips and make them bleed if ur brushing or eating or just doing everyday activities the only time it could is during sports and u get hit in the mouth but even then its not as bad as it seems!. i know that ppl have told you this and its not really true!. yes every month after u get them tightened they will hurt for about 2 days like pretty bad and you gums will get very irrated espically your tounge but thats what the wax is for!. u just put in on the bracket that is irrating it and it works amazingly!!! ne other braces !?'s jsut email me!. oh and after they come of ur teeth looking freaking amazing!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
When you get your braces on it hurts for about a week or so!. sometimes it also hurts to eat when you get them tightened!. I got a lot of sores in my mouth when I first got my braces on!. Now my cheeks have toughened up and it doesn't do that anymore!. Don't worry! Your ortho should give you some wax to put on the area where it's rubbing!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
