Does it hurt more to get your top or bottom wisdom teeth pulled???!
Question: Hi, I am a dentist. The answer to this question is variable and all depends on your wisdom teeth. By this I mean, if all four of your wisdom teeth are in, then you shouldn't have much pain after extraction. If any of your teeth are impacted, (coming in at angles or stuck under the tissue), then these are more difficult to get out and can have more sensitivity afterwards. My two lowers were impacted and were sore, but my uppers weren't and I did fine. I routinely take out wisdom teeth that are all the way in and my patients do fine, but impacted or below the gum I send to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon will give you pain meds that will take almost all the sensitivity away. Don't worry, the pain caused by leaving them in is far greater then taking them out.
