Answers:

First of all, take a deep breath and relax. You will most likely be put under general anesthesia and be asleep during the entire process. Everyone reacts to anesthesia differently, they will be monitoring you very carefully during the entire procedure right up until you wake up and leave the recovery room. You may be a little scared when you wake up because general anesthesia can sometimes affect your short term memory and you wont remember where you are or why. You shouldn't be in any pain. Talk to the surgeon who will be removing your teeth and find out what you should do if you are in pain when you wake up, because you may not be able to talk. This is very uncommon though and you usually wont feel any discomfort until the pain medication starts wearing off, and they will prescribe you pain medication to take throughout the course of your healing.

Your surgeon will go over the rules of healing with you. You can't drink through a straw and you'll be better off eating pudding and sipping ensure shakes for the first few days. When you think you can handle it, you can return to solid food.

Depending on your school schedule, I would strongly recommend having your parents ask the surgeon to write you a letter to not return til maybe that following Wednesday for school, you'll be too doped up on pain medicine.

Rest, relax, and everything will be fine. Follow your surgeon's instructions to the letter, and you'll most likely not have any kind of complications.
