Can a dentist pull your teeht before medicaid approves it?!

Question:

Can a dentist pull your teeht before medicaid approves it?

i have been gettin my top teeth pulled, so far they have pulled 10 and medicaid did not approve any of it before they pulled them and now there is a chance that medicaid may not pay for my false teeth

Answers:

The guidelines for Medicaid state to state are different. I have been working in a dental office in Vermont for years and the extractions are normally deducted from the allowed amount and the denture amount is sent in for pre-approval, if your dentist said there was enough for the teeth to come out in the allowed amount then the pre-approval should have gone in at least 3 months before the extractions. I would recommend you look over your medicaid guidelines and amounts.Or call the number on the back of your card, ask some questions. If your dentist is committing freud the police need to know, and you need your dentures.By the way if you went to the dentist for an emergency visit and wanted the teeth out, and wanted dentures in the future and signed an agreement, you maybe responsible for the leftover cost of the extractions.
