Dentist complaint?

I took my son in for a dentist appointment, he was supposed to get 2 primary (baby) teeth pulled and one cavity filled. While the specialist was pulling his tooth, he began to cry. I asked if I could go into the room with him. When I walked in he was crying & shaking. The dentist began pulling his tooth and only took out half of it. She then began to take out the other half & was taking it out piece by piece. By then my son was SCREAMING! A small amount of blood was coming out & was going down his throat. (He gets grossed out very easily) so he began to cough (like in a choking way) I sat him up and he through up in my hands. After washing up she began again pulling pieces of the tooth again, and again he coughed and through up again in my hands. I asked the dentist if we could use that suction tube being that he was lying down and every thing was building up in his mouth and that was causing him to throw up, she said no. She said she couldn't continue because he was not cooperating.

Can they do this? where can I get more information on where to file a complaint. Thank you for any one who can help me out.

This so called "specialist" specializes in children, so I highly doubt I need to look for another one. I filed a complaint already with Western Dental, the person that helped me asked me question such as, was anyone else helping with the procedure(no) or how we have to get him to a dentist soon because the procedure was not completed. Thank you to all who were understanding. For the "dental assistant" I guess you must have not been paying attention in class!

As you know, we are only hearing your side of the story... but I agree with odandme, I'd find a dentist who is more children friendly as I don't believe this one to be children friendly.
