What can you do to get rid of canker sores and cold sores faster?!
Question: I woke up this morning with a canker sore that got worst instead of better after gargling salt water, using tea tree oil and what not. I went to the store and bought hydrogen peroxide for gargling and benzoin compound tincture. I gargled hydrogen peroxide (1 bottle cap full + 3-4 oz of water) and I applied the tincture on the canker sore with a cue tip (fully soaked). Instantly the pain is more than 50% less. I used the tincture before when I lived in Germany (doctor recommended) and didn't think it was available over-the- counter here (Oahu-Hawaii). I know my dang canker sore will go away in no time now!
Apparently it's the tooth paste that contributes to getting canker sores all the time. I also bought biotene without sodium laurate sulfate for this reason and will only brush my teeth with it from now on. There should be an immunization shot to prevent canker sores, because I feel like dying whenever I get one. Some people get multiple canker sores.... I would just die right there. But I have my wonder medicine now (Benzoin Tincture- yes!!!). Thank you, Lord!

Powdered Alum (found in the spice aisle) works great for canker sores.
rub some salt in it. seriously, i get em all the time, and it works.
or eat some sunflower seeds with a lot of salt on them.
I rinse my mouth out with baking soda and water a few times each day when I have a canker sore. Usually gets rid of it in 2 days or less.
Use lemon. It burns, but I got a cold sore Friday, and I read to use Lemon. It was gone by Sunday morning! Just get a small slice of a lemon and rub it on the cold sore. Also, squeeze some of the juice from it and put it on there. It helps!
Also, ice helps a little with the pain. Just apply for about 10 minutes every hour!
salt believe it or not helps alot. if they are on the inside of your mouth gargle warm salt water...it dries them out and if they are on the outside like on your lip or in the corner of your mouth....make a salt paste with alittle warm water and apply it to the sore. leave that for a few minutes....then rinse the salt off and apply Carmex! I am addicted to Carmex....i use it everyday. Grab some from the grocery store or gas station and keep it with you always!
