You will be sore the first few days, maybe even week. Stock up on your painkillers like Advil or Aleve. Also, make sure you are very careful with how much you eat, and fluent on brushing your teeth like they say. You can eat just about anything, so no need to worry there, but since your teeth will be really sore, I would stock up on some chicken noodle soup, scrambled eggs (or eggs in general)... pretty much anything that can be filling, but light at the same time. I wouldnt bite down on any croutons anytime soon ;)
r u having retainers(the ones you can take out)???? or are you having tracks(metal wires glued to your teeth)?? if retainers than i could barely eat anything but you can take them out to eat but try not to take them out too often!!! if train tracks then you will be able to eat everything but this also depends on whether your teeth are aching after having them tightened or cos they're just aching. sometimes i couldn't eat bread cos they ached so much!!! but 4 years down the line now and people are saying "wow sam you've got nice teeth" so its well worth the **** that comes with it! and yes they do hurt especially when you first get them or after they've been tightened and will feel really strange after you've had them put in and when they've been taken out but put up with it and youll be so glad u had it done!!!
