Does anyone know what to do when you need to start wearing your retainer again.?
I need to start using my retainer again and I believe the Dentist told me that I can't boil it. Is their cleaning solutions for these?
Answers:
The retainers I give to my orthodontic patients, I tell them to use an old toothbrush to clean them with soap and cool water, and rinse clean. Hot water will distort the retainers so that's a no-no.
If your retainers no longer fit, you should not wear them. Jamming them on will put excessive force on your teeth and traumatize them, leading to bad problems like inflammatory root resorption.
