A dentist lied that I had cavities and filled them. Anything I can do?!
Question:
A dentist lied that I had cavities and filled them. Anything I can do?
He put metal fillings in a bunch of my healthy teeth. I don't have proof and this happened a long time ago but I am 99% sure. I haven't had a single cavity filled before or since. I was quite nervous going into the office and he took advantage of this. I was thinking of going to him for a teeth cleaning and seeing if he tries this again. Or should I just write a review of him online somewhere?
Answers:
I had about four fillings when I was approx. 11 years old. My next filling was maybe 25 years later. Does that prove that my teeth were healthy and the dentist lied? Not at all.
If you have no proof, what is the real reason for this sudden distrust of his actions?
Let it go. What can you gain and what exactly do you want for compensation?
If a dentist is dishonest, they have other ways of drumming up work, usually in the dental hygiene treatments, special whiteners, coatings, sealants etc.
