Roof of mouth in throbbing pain?!

Question: Hi everyone. I am experiencing a weird sensation that I have felt in the past, though only when coming off a fasting period, and never repeatedly like this. During eating (over my last 4 meals/snacks now), the roof of my mouth goes into throbbing pain and I have to stop eating. It isn't painful when I touch it or push on it, in fact, pressing on it makes the pain go away, and when i release, it gradually comes back. The pain usually lasts about 10 minutes and it FEELS like it is swelling up (not sure if it really is). I have no allergies that I know of, and I did read another answer on here saying that mouthwash can cause this.. I did use mouthwash a few days ago, but not since then (I don't usually use mouth wash, but I have been sick lately so i dip my brush, and swish when I am sick).

Any ideas of what may be wrong with me? This all started last night at dinner after and intense day of laborious work (also uncommon for me)

It may be that you have a bacterial infection in your mouth, or thrush. This can cause burning pain in the mouth. Schedule an appointment with you Dentist. He/She can either prescribe or give you something that you can rise with.
