First of all see a dentist (everyone is going to say that)
But there can be other things wrong with your gums.
It could possibly be a hormone thing, sometimes increase in certin hormone causes your gums to be inflamed, raw and sore. There are also a few diseases of the mouth that cause a sudden redness, and sorness in the gums.
I would try using sensodine toothpate, if your teeth are becoming sensitive where the gum is receeding this will help with the sensitivity. Also flossing is very good for the gums, make sure you use waxed floss and go slowly and gently, bleeding when flossing the first couple of times is normal.
try gargling with a warm water/salt mixture 3 or 4 times a day.
But of course see a dentist.

You obviously need medical attention for diagnosis and treatment if you are suffering from any disease.

I have had sensitive teeth and gums at different times. Several months after taking some nutritional products that I found, my gums are pink and strong with no sensitivity. Email me if you would like particulars.

Using mouthwash twice daily helps to prevent things like this. although their are many reasons your gums may be like this it may simply be because you are not getting the gum line. Make sure you gently brush this to remove any plaque and rinse twice daily with a quality brnad mouthwash such as colgate plax.
