Retainers, just got my braces off,?!

Question: i just my braces off today and i cant get the retainers intill wedsday. so what will happen if i like dont wear them for the 1st week that i got my braces off, because i like cant go get them.

I waited a week to get my retainers after my braces were removed. Your teeth will move a little, but not so much that the retainer can't fix. I've been wearing retainers now for 1 1/2 years. They're a lot less maintenance than braces!

I just got my braces off last week. I was told that if you don't pick them up within 24hrs. your teeth will start to shift. I had the same problem.

Your teeth will start to move back again but only slightly so that when you do get the retainer it will move them back again.The day after i got my brace off and before i got my retainer a gap formed in my teeth but when i wore my reainer it fixed them back.
