i work in a dental office so i will give you the advice that i give my patients.
1. it is ok to not use the full amount that it says. in fact i don't use the full amount each time i rinse either. my mouth is too small for that much!
2. when flossing, you need to not just go in and out of each tooth. you need to floss between each tooth & "rubbing" up and down under the gums between each tooth. that is where most of the bacteria hides. it is uncomfortable for a few days or week but if you do that everyday the bleeding will subside and it will be a lot more comfortable. you should floss once a day.
3. when brushing try to brush in a circle motion all over. makes sure you stimulate your gums and brush your tounge. brush atleast 2 times a day for 2 minutes. make sure you are using a SOFT bristle brush! medium or hard may feel like you are getting your teeth cleanner but the are actually really hard on your gums.
4. crest white strips work great for many people. i think that crest white strips are the best over the counter whitening avaliable. of course bleach from a dental office will work even better but it is also a lot more expensive. sometimes some stain cannot just come off with bleaching. getting your teeth cleanned in a dental office every six months can eliminate a lot of the stain that stays around even if you bleach.

i hope this helps! any other questions just let me know!
