I get my braces off next month, how exactly do they get them off?!
Question: they will get pliers and pop them off and u will hear a "pop" noise lol it feels like its pulling your teeth. it doesn't hurt but it's uncomfortable, and then they take a electric thing and scrape the glue off. and you will have pieces of glue all in your mouth, and you'll rinse with water.
btw your teeth will feel really weird for like a week.
i got mine off like last month, and for 2 days my teeth for some reason felt sooo huge. you'll stare at your teeth in the mirror everytime you pass a mirror lol!
i'm use to everything now though

They'll take a pair of dental pliers and pull them all off (after they take the metal and the rubber bands off, of course). Then they'll scrape the glue off of your teeth. I don't remember them cleaning my teeth, but it might depend on your orthodontist. :]
They remove the brackets off by using an orthodontic plier device. One end rests on top of your tooth, that end has a plastic stopper on it for cushioning. The other end goes underneath your bracket. With a firm squeeze of the handle, the bracket comes off real easily.
The bonding material is removed by using either a bur or diamond bur. Maybe even a polishing disc. Depends what the dentist likes to use.
