Is there something wrong with my braces?!

Question: I've had my braces for about a year now, and my teeth seem to be getting worse because there's gaps between my teeth now. It doesnt seem to be improving at all, and im getting worried. Could it be that the orthodontist did something wrong, or is it normal?

You need to ask your ortho. They may be making room but if you are unsure just call them. It never hurts to ask.

i think its normal and its a whole part of the process.

no my teeth were straight on the bottom but got gaps and then straighten up.

You should ask your orthodontist why it's happening because sometimes they assume you had the gaps to begin with, since the hygienists tend to change throughout your appointments.
If it keeps happening and it's irritating you then ask them to give you a train elastic, which holds all your teeth together, preventing those gaps that are being caused; and it works very quickly!
Sometimes things have a tendency to get worse before they can get better, so good luck :)

yea u probably need to go back to the othordonist and see about that or if he cant give u a gud explanation go to another othordonist and get there opinion

It's pretty normal. That happened to me and a lot of my friends. I think it is so they just get straight and then after that they put a tighter chain on the top so that they come together. The chain is a band that is one piece that goes on all the braces on either the top, bottom, or both. It makes them come together fast! But if you are very worried make sure to talk to your orthodontist.

yes it is bcuz mine wuz like that 2 but now itz closed up jus give it time and ur teeth will b perfecto!! jus give it time!!
